What are You Doing to Take Care of Yourself?

 Recently I have gained more awareness around how important it is to take care of ourselves in order to take care of or help others.

Personally, I have found myself doing a lot of self-care the past month or two. Well not “alot”, but definitely more than I ever have probably in my entire life.  At first that makes me feel sad – that it’s taken me all my life to finally take care of myself and not always put others first. However I remember to not judge this “delay” in self-care but instead be grateful that I have reached a point in my life where I am ready to do so. Better late than never right?

So on that note – I wanted to send you a reminder to take care of yourself too!

Not to put any pressure on you – but I would love to hear what you are doing today, this week or this month to truly take care of YOU! To nourish your body, your mind and your soul.  And remember everyone is unique and different – so your concept of self-care may be different from another person. Lastly, self-care is not just for this month, remember it each and every day!

Remember self care can be anything such as rest, reading a book, going to spa, getting a haircut, being with friends, being alone, taking a walk or letting yourself cry!  It’s anything that allows you to be YOU, and that allows you to feel better.
